, NEW.  This seal kit contains the
Nitrile seal
as well as the 2 O-rings needed to replace this lip seal.  The lip seal was only sold with a new water pump, long discontinued, for your VF500 and is not displayed in the Honda illustrations.  With the supply of good used V4 pumps getting slim, this is a great way to keep your pump working well.  This kit fits OEM Honda pump p/n 19200-KE7-010 for the VF500C Magna and p/n 19200-ML0-721 for the VF500F Interceptor, both discontinued.
This listing is for the lip seal, and qty 2 O-rings, equivalents of the Honda p/n 19226-KE7-010 (Discontinued by Honda) & 91302-MB0-013 the water pump  photo is just to show you where this lip seal goes as it is not shown in any Honda manuals.
This seal is known to get brittle and if this happens, two things could happen.  First, if pieces of the seal come off, it goes into the transmission and then to your oil pump.  Second, it keeps the coolant out of the oil or the oil out of the coolant, depending on the condition of your radiator cap and system.
NOTE:  If your leaking coolant from the small weep hole in the bottom of the pump, this seal will not fix that problem, which requires a spring loaded seal I have listed in an overhaul kit as well as overhauled pumps.
