Handmade Skirt Upcycled Jacket Victorian Edwardian Steampunk 2pc Suit Costume S

Lovely Edwardian, late Victorian style day/walking suit. For consideration is a 2pc suit of a beautiful handmade elastic drawn-waisted skirt & preowned, upcycled jacket. Skirt fabric is a lovely, stripped,
seersucker cotton and the jacket, by New York & Co., is a polyester, rayon, lurex weave. The jacket is a woven blend of minty green, beige & metallic silver threads & has a short beige fringe trimming the front & back tailoring darts, sleeve bottoms, front opening, and hemline. I have added a 2"-wide burlap with ivory lace to the waistline seam & a 3" ivory lace ruffle to the 3/4 length sleeves (under the fringe) & the neckline. Neckline lace is topped with a thinner burlap with ivory trim. Closes down front with 5 inside, underlying snaps. Jacket is unlined & preowned with only minor signs of wear. I trimmed off pilling. I have included 4 4" burlap with lace bows that I have pinned on so you can put them wherever you wish. I have put one at the front neckline, and bottom of each sleeve above the

The 4th bow is on the lower right side of the skirt. Let me know at time of purchase if you want these tacked on. The skirt is handmade with a pretty stripe of shades of mint green, ivory, light brown, & beiges. Stripe is matched at the seam. It has an elastic draw 1" waistband, top stitched for a nice look. Back center inside band has a slight opening if you need to pull the elastic out to tighten the waist. Slight fullness, enough for walking with ease, see sweep measurement. Bottom has a recycled, beige (kaki), 4" long ruffle made of a preowned cotton-like woven fabric. Condition is used with only minor wear. I topped the ruffle with the same burlap/ivory lace trim as on the jacket waistband. R

Bows and lace inside seams are treated with fabric glue to prevent fraying. All trims and ruffles are sewn on by hand for a
