Description
This listing is for a complete rug hooking kit designed by Sharon Perry. It includes everything you need to complete this 11 X 18 inch Primitive Hooked Rug. It's a pretty simple design with a great mix of beautiful wools, mostly hand dyed and cut on a #8 (1/4") blade. The fish are done in a variety of colors to give them that pop of color where needed. Chances are you won't ever see fish like this but that's the glory of folk art. For the background I used dyed green and dyed aqua blue. For a finishing touch I added three rows of hit and miss border to keep in line with the tropical folk art look of the piece. Hooked up this would make a great wall hanging, chair pad, bench warmer, table centerpiece or pillow top. These hooked rugs look great hanging from pieces of country furniture or covering the tops of old trunks as well. Here's what you receive when you purchase this kit.Color Photo of Completed Rug

Care has been taken in the packaging of this kit. It comes in a zip lock bag that's very convenient for taking it out and putting it away at your leisure. If this is your first project I would suggest a quilting hoop frame which can be purchased at any fabric store. There are more user friendly and expensive frames out there but there's no sense spending too much until you're sure this is a hobby you'll be sticking with. If this is your first project you will also need a rug hook.
I have solid hardwood and steel hooks listed for .50 but you can choose the option to add one to your kit for just .50 when you make your purchase.
