    Description

Spotlight Notch Concealment Patch for the 2007-2014 Chevy Tahoe.
Gloss white or gloss black adhesive vinyl notch concealment patch designed and shaped for installation on the outer door frame of all 2007-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe’s and Silverado that previously had a Unity Spotlight that mounted on the windshield post (A-pillar) and the door was “C” notched out for clearance.
It is symmetrical in shape so it will fit on the driver or passenger door frame.
If you don’t have automotive repair or autobody repair experience, we strongly suggest you have someone with these skills present or install it for you.
It is the installers responsibility to read and comply with the instructions for best results.
    Included:
1 ea Gloss Black or Gloss White Vinyl concealment Patch
1 ea Clear Hard Plastic C-Notch Insert
1 ea Semi-Circle clear notch adhesive pad
    2 ea Alcohol Pad (cleaner)
Note: It is imperative that every effort is made to thoroughly clean the area around the notched door frame prior to installing this patch and that the temperature is at 50 degrees F or above.
    How to install:
Using a low speed drill and small drill bit, cut the head off the pop rivet that holds the black rubber spotlight gasket on the door frame.
Be careful to not use too much downward pressure, and remove the rivet head only leaving a flush surface.
Inspect the notch area for contamination or sharp raised edges and gently file any burrs from the original installation from the notch area.
Clean all residue from the area thoroughly with soap and water, rinse with clean water, then allow to completely dry.
If there is any possibility that Rain-X was applied to the windshield of your vehicle and cross contaminated the door frame, it may take several sessions of cleaning before the surface is sufficiently decontaminated.
Q: What about the hole in the inside of the vehicle?
    A:
At this time we do not offer any interior hole patch solution that can permanently adhere to the textured plastic interior surface throughout the full spectrum of climatic temperatures.
To address the gaping hole in the plastic interior windshield post trim, we recommend sourcing this same part from a civilian purpose built vehicle without a spotlight right here on eBay or at a local salvage yard.
