Not like some other competitors' products
, this one automatically start recording when the vehicle starts up and it stops when power off. Standard
US vehicle power plug: Input DC 12-24V, output DC 5V 500mA.
Cons: Sound. It has low volum sound for the unit I tested. Your talking voice or vehicle music will be recorded in low volumn. But if a car crash happen, the sound would be big enough to be recorded. Like other products on market, the battery capacity is small. So it will automatically shut down after 5 sec without external power. You need to always connect to power while using it.
Note:
For the first time please format the SD card. If you are using your previously owned SD card, make sure you saved the important files other places.
