Description
When the 1993 Suzuki GSXR11100 came out, it substantially different than its predecessor. Most notibally a departure from the air/oil cooling set up that made the GSXR famous after its 1985 debut. Die hard Gix heads cried foul when the bikes went to liquid cooling but the truth is Suzuki was forced do this to remain competitive on their race bikes since the competitors were liquid cooled and controlled engine temps were producing better lap time at the track. Again, purists would tell you that liquid cooling made the bikes heavy and bloated but this was not the case. Suzuki needed to do a pretty substainal redesign to add liquid cooling and by using Suzukis' proven weight saving methods to save weight, the bikes were only slightly heavier and a boost in power over the previous models made the extra weight almost negligible.Which brings us to this bike. The 93 thru 96 GSXR have long been overlooked by collectors but have been going up in value for the past few years. I found this bike and for the last 6 months it has been going thru a complete restoration. I wanted to mod it a bit but keep the overall stock look. It is a low mileage bike so the engine didn't need to be torn apart and the rest of the bike was very solid so most of the work was cosmetic and replacing worn items. Here is a full run down of everything done.

I'm sure I'm still leaving stuff out but this will give you an idea of how extensive this build is. Bike starts right up and rips - doesn't leak a drop of anything.
This bike also has something else that is very special. These bikes were notoriously hard to jet if you were adding pods or an exhaust. It is a known thing in this generation GSXR community. I spent considerable time with Dynojet to figure out jetting that will work with the pods and exhaust setup. You will not see
alot of this generation GSXR with pods. In fact because of how the notorious they are you might not ever see one with pods, period!
